Kashmir Welfare Foundation: A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers
Mission Kashmir 🗺
Kashmir Welfare Foundation serves as a beacon of hope and support across Azad Kashmir. Founded with the mission to enhance the quality of life for underprivileged and marginalised communities, the Foundation has played a crucial role in delivering essential services and resources to those in need. Its vision is to build a sustainable, self-reliant society where everyone has access to basic necessities like healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.
Our Team of Volunteers 🦺
We recognise that none of this would be possible without a strong team of dedicated volunteers. Alhamdulillah, with the help and support of our network, we have built an incredible team that is ready to tackle any challenge.
We would like to take a moment to express our deep gratitude to our team for their hard work, dedication, and unwavering support. First, we want to acknowledge our medical team, primarily led by Dr. Inzamam Awan from Muzaffarabad. Dr Inzamam played a strategic role in ensuring that deserving patients recieved the right advice, support and guidance according to their medical condition. His exceptional team included Ayesha Nawaz, Arzoo Mughal, Samreen Awan, Tooba Batool, Faiza Bibi, Naushad Bibi, Eman Sharafat, Asma Sharafat, and Nusrat Bibi.
We would further like to extend our thanks to Habiba Waheed who led our food pack distribution efforts in Sarar Katli.
We want to give special recognition to our female team members, whose invaluable contributions were central to the success of all our projects. Their dedication and hard work were essential, and without them, these projects would not have been possible.
The medical team worked in direct partnership with our field team which included Muhammad Mohsin, Khawaja Hassan Ahmed, Hafiz Abdul Waheed, Mushtaq Hussain, Naseem Ahmed and Sajid Aziz.
In Muzaffarabad, Mehr Anas Shakoor, Mehr Najam Shakoor, and Muhammad Mahraj-ul-Qusain Mughal played pivotal roles in project management, under the leadership of Muhammad Husnain, the senior team leader of the Kashmir Welfare Foundation. In Neelum Valley, Tahir Zia effectively managed the projects, ensuring their success.
Our media team consisted of Hafiz Irfan Ali from Bhera and Asad Badshah from Samundri, both seasoned professionals with years of experience in their respective fields. They played a crucial role in capturing the projects through photos and videos, enabling us to provide detailed reports to our donors.
All of these projects took place under the expert guidance of Muhammad Jafer Majid of Islamabad who has years of experience in charity work around Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. The team was also accompanied our trustee, Abdul Basit from Derby, UK.
Kashmir Welfare Foundation’s work is a testament to the power of collective effort and compassion. By understanding the core values and objectives of the Foundation, one can truly appreciate the significant contributions made by its volunteers, which will be explored further in the following sections.
Unbeatable Dedication 💪
The personnel of Kashmir Welfare Foundation have exhibited tremendous dedication, engaging in various initiatives and activities over recent weeks. Their unwavering commitment has significantly impacted Muzafarabad and Neelum Valley communities, addressing multiple challenges through a range of support mechanisms.
One of the pivotal contributions made by our volunteers has been in the realm of medical aid. With limited access to healthcare facilities in these remote areas, our teams organised health camps, providing essential medical services and consultations. They facilitated free medical check-ups, distributed necessary medications, and carried out health awareness sessions, focusing on preventive care, hygiene, and nutrition. This initiative has notably improved community health standards, ensuring that essential healthcare reaches the most vulnerable populations.

As a thank you for our volunteers we held a special event for our volunteers at Khudadad Restaurant in Muzafarabad.
