For households already living on very limited incomes, even a short period of disruption can make it difficult to buy food, collect essential medication or access healthcare.
Elderly people, widows, orphaned children, people living with disabilities and those with long-term medical conditions are among those most affected.
In response, Kashmir Welfare Foundation has launched the Kashmir Lockdown Humanity Fund to provide emergency humanitarian assistance wherever it is needed most.

Our work is limited to providing humanitarian assistance for vulnerable people in need of food, healthcare and emergency support. Priority is given to families already supported through our Zakat, Sadaqah and welfare programmes, together with other vulnerable households identified by our field teams through humanitarian assessment.
