The Saya Programme is Kashmir Welfare Foundation’s orphan support initiative, providing long-term care, education, and essential support to vulnerable children across Azad Kashmir. The goal is to become a protective “Saya” (shade) for children who have lost parental support.
“Saya” (سایہ) means shade, protection, and shelter in Urdu. In an Islamic context, it represents care, compassion, and safeguarding those in need. The programme is named Saya because it aims to provide that protective support to orphaned children.
