A child lost his father due to lack of treatment. Help prevent this. Donate today to provide life-saving medical care in Kashmir.

Maqsood is an orphan from Surgan Valley, one of the most remote parts of Kashmir. A place where roads are limited and medical care is almost non existent. We met him during our medical camp.
His story is painful. His father had diabetes. He could not afford treatment. There was no access to consistent care.
And he passed away.
Now Maqsood is living the sam
e reality. He also has diabetes. He needs insulin to survive. But he has no one to provide for him. No stable access to medication. No system to support him. Every day without insulin puts his life at risk. This is not just poverty. This is a child facing the same fate as his father.
Maqsood does not need anything complicated. He just needs insulin. He just needs consistency. He just needs a chance to live. Without support, his story may end the same way. With support, it can be completely different.
Mustafa was only 6 years old. He watched his father get weaker day by day. At first, it was small. A pain that didn’t go away. A condition that needed attention.
But there was no doctor nearby. No diagnosis. No treatment. No help. His father needed medicine. Something simple. Something treatable.
But in their village…
👉 Help was too far.
👉 And the cost was too high.
So they waited. And waited. Hoping it would pass.
It didn’t. Mustafa lost his father… Not because his illness was untreatable. But because he could not get the care he needed. Because the cost of treatment was more than what his life was worth.
Imagine knowing, that your father could have been saved. That the only thing standing between life and death was something as small as money. Imagine carrying that thought.
The questions. The pain. The silence that follows.
Mustafa was only 6. He didn’t understand everything that was happening. But he understood enough to know something was wrong. He watched his father grow weaker. He watched the hope fade.
And then…
He watched him disappear from his life. That day, Mustafa didn’t just lose his father.
👉 He lost safety.
👉 He lost stability.
👉 He lost a part of himself.
Today, Mustafa lives at our Saya Orphan Care Centre in Neelum. He is safe. He is cared for. But no child should ever have to carry a loss like that.
This is happening right now.
A mother watching her child suffer…
An elderly man living in constant pain…
A family facing an emergency with nowhere to turn…

Healthcare is not a luxury. It is a basic human need. Yet in remote areas of Kashmir:
Children go untreated. Elders suffer in silence. Families are left with no options. And sometimes…

Our medical projects provide life-saving healthcare to vulnerable communities across Azad Kashmir, including consultations, medicines, emergency care, and mobile medical camps in remote areas. We work directly with hospitals where care is needed too.
Many remote areas lack hospitals and access to doctors. Families often cannot afford treatment or travel long distances, leaving illnesses untreated and conditions worsening. We target villages lacking local medical infrastructure, often in mountain valleys or remote regions identified through community needs assessments.
It costs as little as £10 to treat one patient, covering consultation, diagnosis, and essential medicines. Where further treatment is required, we provide assistance for this too. Higher cost treatments are usually funded through our Case study page.
We provide General health consultations, Medicines and treatments, Emergency care and Mobile medical camps. Referrals for serious conditions we adhere to medical safety and hygiene protocols, use qualified healthcare professionals, and maintain accountability with public reports. We work directly with the hospitals to help cover cost of treatment wherever required.
Yes, medical aid can be given as Sadaqah, and in many cases is also Zakat eligible, as it supports those in financial hardship. We use: Mobile medical camps Local healthcare partnerships On-ground teams and volunteers Emergency response units This ensures aid reaches even the most isolated communities.
We maintain transparency through: Verified patient records Field reports and updates On-ground monitoring of treatments Yes. You can sponsor: Medical camps Bulk patient treatments Equipment and medicines This allows you to make a larger impact at scale.
